STYLE FEATURE

Hello! I wanted to share with you my latest features. Thanks to Charlotte from Fashion Bloggers Magazine, Social Wardrobe, United Styles and Style.it for featuring me on their web sites/blogs. It's always great to get feedback from other readers and those that enjoy my style/blog, so major thanks and hugs to you!

I designed a blouse on UNITED STYLES above which is something I would wear this Spring season. I like how you can create you own patterns, colours and designs on their site and get the creative juices flowing.

Check out my more of features below on the following sites and have a fabulous Wednesday!

TIMES WE LOOK BACK ON

Bonjour! I like how ultra feminine this Jason Wu for Target blouse is. It's perfect for spring and so far, I've gotten plenty of wear with it. I paired it with my favourite white satchel.

Also, I FINALLY opened up this bottle of Anna Sui Lil' Starlet perfume I've had for ages. I'm not expert on scents, but I can say that a little goes a long way (I think that's the overall "rule" for wearing perfume). I do like the bottle, super cute!

I'm looking forward to posting 2 more of my DIY projects! When I go into a store and see something I like, I'm always thinking "How can I make this?!" It's just that creative, crafty side of me.

Hope your weekend was fabulous and I wish you a lovely Spring week ahead!!
I think it's safe to break out the sandals and clogs, because I really can't stand winter footwear any longer!

SHOPPING TIP OF THE DAY: I know it's great to get the latest, greatest things but shopping out of season is quite smart and you can snatch some investment pieces for next season, or work them into the current one. I've purchased a suede jacket by Danier for $50 in the winter which I wear as a Spring jacket. Also, end of season clearance sales are great ways to snatch stylish pieces but at half the price (or more!)

HYPNOTIC

Hello! I've been meaning to show you this gorgeous bracelet that my aunt made me. It has this stretchy band which spirals around my wrist a few times. I appreciate hand made items.

Wearing: wool turband, gray short-sleeve button up (which I find hard to find), black skinnies and black pumps w/silver collar necklace.

So I hope you enjoyed my last DIY (scroll below). It won't be my last DIY though, I have 3 more I've yet to post so stay tuned for that.

Hope your enjoying the weekend!! The weather is beautiful, looks like Spring came early and fast and it's totes amaze! That's right, I just said "totes amaze!"

STYLE TIP OF THE DAY: Simple basics are all you really need for a well rounded wardrobe. You can spice things up with accessories (or change up basics with DIY's). Plus, basics are usually quite affordable. Bonus!

DIY: SAFETY PIN NECKLACE

SUPPLIES: safety pins (various sizes), pink or whatever bright colour nail polish/paint, chain necklace.
STEP1 : Paint the safety pins (2 coats) any colour of your choice, neon pink is quite lovely!
STEP 2: If you already have a chain necklace, all you'll need to do is secure the pins wherever you like, OR I've attached additional chains from an old necklace to this one to create a larger necklace. I find pearls are a great juxtaposition to the edginess of the pins.
VOILA! Easy as pie. I'm all about re-creating what you already have to a truly unique piece.

I posted the first photo on Instagram (follow me if you wish to see more shenanigans!) and I'm pleased on the result. Having seen this look around the blogosphere inspired by Tom Binns, I found myself wanting to re-create my old pieces with spring colours.

STYLE TIP OF THE DAY: Don't be afraid to mix prints. Spring brings a variety of prints which are fun and add excitement to a look. Unsure of which prints to wear? I find that opposites attract (for eg. polka dots & stripes). Remember to have fun and take risks! After all it's only clothes.

DXMEPIECE

I've had my eye on Dimepiece Designs for a while now. What I like about their clothing are the fabulous tees with clever designs (Love Don't Pay The Bills etc.)

I NEED that beanie in the first photo!! They have everything from unique accessories, artwork to home decor. I also enjoy the fact that the clothes are pretty much unisex. As I am such a sucker for a men's tee (or oversized tee). Check them out if this is style is right up your alley, or if you want to wear something different!

So, how's everyone's weekend going so far? I hope your making the most of it and taking some time for yourself! Okay, I know, I know I NEED to get onto Instagram and start taking photos, I can assure you that this Spring will bring no shortage of pictures! Don't forget to turn your clocks forward if this applies to you.

GET BACK

Lately, I've been going back to basics. When it comes down to it, it always comes down to the basics (in pretty much everything, not just fashion.)

But when it comes to style, I've come to realize I can live in white tees and cut off denim shorts and heels 24/7 (well..if the weather permits). Having said that, this Acne gray sweatshirt is a great basic. You can literally throw it on and be out the door, stay warm and be comfortable. It's a great layering piece that can be very versatile even though it's quite the casual piece. I am just all about sweat shirts right now!! I really wish I kept my old ones. Is there any item you used to have you wish you had kept?

I still hav a few more photos left to haul but I like to mix it up and not do one crazy haul post (hence the numerous, varied posts...) Here we have the heels from Last Chance I got for ma soeur and this sweet suede and gold bracelet from H&M, which reminds me..I need to wear it tomorrow!

The weather is FINALLY getting warmer and it better stay that way AND spring is on it's way. I'm SO ready to ditch all winter attire forever! PS) I have TONS of collections (including menswear I'd like to share with you so stay tuned!) I'm also officially on Instagram and promise to start taking pictures soon!

ABILU CREATIONS

ABILU CREATIONS has all the accessories your will ever need! I am in love with these handmade pieces that were sent to me, and continue to get compliments on them whenever I wear them.

Based in London, Abigail Lucy Bradford decided to start making these magical pieces which I find are fun, unique and one of a kind pieces.
My favourite would have to be the frog ring which is just adorable, but the necklace filled with all sorts of charms from skulls, flowers, lightning bolts and hearts (and more!) is something I haven't seen before.
Coming from a Fine Art, Sculpture & Costume Design background, Abigail has put in her own creative sense of style to create a successful line of accessories. Not only do I appreciate the time and detail put into every piece, but I really enjoy the fact that there is accessories and jewelry available for the fellas too!

So check out her website and you will definitely be seeing me rocking these pieces in future outfit posts!
Thanks again to AbiLu Creations!

YOUR MY KRYPTONITE

Happy Sunday everyone! I was going to post tomorrow but what better time than now right? As promised, an outfit post. I've pretty much worn everything in this post before, but in other outfits. It's all about being creative with what you already have and not constantly consuming useless things.

Wearing: Joe Fresh silk top, leopard print tank, high waisted black denim shorts, F21 tights (I was forced to buy last minute on this day btw), black turband and my spike necklace.

On this night, I went out to Mill Ave in AZ. Good times had by all! This clutch is totes amaze!! Can't wait to wear it wearing all white.

How's your weekend going so far? I wish it would never end. Trying to catch some sleep, but I guess my body is programmed to wake up at the crack of dawn, oh well at least my weekends too, are productive! Went to the mall yesterday, I haven't been in ages and it wasn't anything new, BUT I wasn't there to shop for clothes. I did notice a crazy amount of pretty coloured pants in the store windows, so I should probably get to wearing my bright red jeans ASAP! Have a great day lovelies, I'll be back posting soon!

DOO.RI

Happy Friday! How's everyone's month of March starting out? Slowly but surely I'll be sharing some of the standouts from my current favourite collections. Now that I'm in full swing with spring (yay for cheesy rhyming!), I'm all about clothes that are easy to wear which make great transitional pieces.

Doo.Ri Spring 2012 has these. The pieces come in various neutrals that would be great year round (well almost depending on where you live, but make it work!), and are pieces you can throw on last minute and still feel and look chic. These are my six favourites out of the Spring collection, I like the pop of colour mixed in with flowy fabrics.

Stay tuned for another outfit posts and more hauls!!

LIGHT THAT WON'T FADE

Really going back to basics here. I've lately been into cuffed jewelry and timeless pieces. Also, I'm ready for spring, are you?! I just want to wear all white with orange/neon nails everyday.

The two gold pieces are new from H&M and I decided to play up brights and metallics on my nails. Neon belt from Joe Fresh Style.

I'm really liking Dimepiece Designs. I've mentioned my love for them before but these canvas decor pieces are so awesome! Look forward to a post including their collection.

Thanks to AbiLu Creations London for sending me some lovely delights, a feature is well under way. Stay tuned for outfits and the jewelry feature.
